New from 2011 will be the John Myers Trophy. This will be an annual 4 ball better ball stableford event.
The 2011 details are:
On Saturday the 17th September 2011 I will be holding a charity golf day at MearnsCastleGolfAcademy, Glasgow. The event is being held to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation. All money raised on the day will go to the John Myers BEM Gift of Hope fund
The golf day will be a 4 ball better ball stableford format and all standards of golfer are welcome. I am hoping this format will allow golfers who don't play much the opportunity to participate as you will be able to pair up with a playing partner who can assist you with your stableford score.
Entry for the event is £80 per 2 ball pairing. However, if you enter a 4 ball (2 pair team) you will receive a discount for this - £140 entry. Your entry fee includes:
Tea/Coffee and morning rolls on arrival
50 balls for the range
18 holes on the course
Hot meal in the clubhouse
Prizegiving
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd pair, Longest drive & Nearest pin
Donation to the British Heart Foundation
Upon arrival at 2pm you can enjoy your roll. At 2:30pm we’ll head to the range to hit your 50 balls. Then at 3pm we’ll all tee off with a shot gun start…..
After the golf there will be a charity auction / raffle.
To encourage more of you along you can invite your partners to join us for the dinner & charity auction / raffle. Or if you don't play golf but would like to show your support you can join us after the golf for a fantastic meal and night of entertainment. Price for entry to the meal & charity auction / raffle only is £15 pp. This will start from 7:30pm
